April 15, 2016 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Build Emails & Transitional Emails

Process:

During my time with PetSmart, I was tasked to update, gain ground on new email templates and catch department up with lots of past due emails. Below are various emails I created. 3-month contract produced 48 various emails and caught department up on their deadlines. Other projects included Secret Life of Pets emails and designs, transactional, web icons, web banners and even helping with re-branding efforts.

Insight Resource App

April 5, 2016 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Creating presentation platform via website

Process:

I started with quick sketches to layout the concept, sharing my sketches with the senior designer. The concept was then presented to the project managers.

Automatik

Wireframes:

Once the sketches were approved, I constructed the wireframes and built them in InDesign. This showcased the overall look and feel of the template.

Automatix

March 10, 2016 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Create a website/app based presentation

Process:

I always like to start with sketches, wireframes, final composition and production, but I had to move quickly.

Due to the time constraints (5 days), I skipped wireframing and went straight to the composition. I made sure I was on brand with Jaguar and Land Rovers content, fonts, logos, colors, and photos.

Automatik

Completed Site Designs:

Once my compositions were approved, I built them in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Lightbox.

Insight Rebrand Videos

February 13, 2016 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Rebrand like you mean it

Process:

With 2016 came a new logo, values, and push to make Insight more modern and clean. We wanted to build momentum around the new brand without spoiling the new logo just yet. Below are two videos put together by marketing. The shapes I created with the help of Richie Martin, with the audio at the end.

Closer to Launch Video

The second Richie gathered all the clips and I helped edit them so the timing was closer to the jokes and punches to the music. I don’t recall if I created the Hi graphic or slides after or if that belongs to Chris Reddoch a talented graphic designer. So I will just give both credit since this definitely was a team effort. Not every day you create marketing for a fortune 500 company.

Insight Event Emails

January 27, 2016 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Create emails for large scale events

Process:

We had a whole department of talented people who would coordinate, plan and run full events all over the world. They usually needed stuff from me. Like emails, landing pages, posters, fliers, sometimes business cards, or print materials. Even the occasional powerpoint. Mainly emails.

Insight Landing Pages

March 27, 2015 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Landing Pages for Insight Enterprises

Process:

A lot of the landing pages started using Adobe Experience Manager. They start also with a client asking for a campaign to lead to a landing page, a whitepaper, an infographic is offered in exchange for contact information. That information eventually leads to a sales call.

I made sure to adhere to not only Insights brand guidelines but also the partners who were paying for the pages construction and advertising.

Insight PPC Ads

March 22, 2015 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Pay Per Clicks, billboards & Props

Process:

Billboards take a while just for the large file size. Luckily a trick is create a smaller file at the same ratio, like 3:1 and save at a higher resolution, when you blow it up it will keep the clarity. Not much to the PPCs. You find out what the promotion is and create several artboards in Adobe. The great thing about that is you can add resize and make multiples than export them all at once. Streamlines the process and keeps the work flowing out instead of back in with additional ad requests.

Props

After the rebrand there were several events, sometimes they required printing and cutting out props on foam core to be used by staff and partners. Below a set of some I printed, made, and mounted.

Insight Intranet

February 12, 2015 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Inside Insight, or Insight Inception?

Process:

Being reliable, on time, a hard worker, a team player earned me the responsibility or running the Inside Insight application run on Igloo. The good thing was I got to broaden the people I assisted tremendously, I also piled on the workload. Nearly capping each month off with an additional 60 hours on top of the normal day to day 40-45 hr weeks. It was a big learning experience I never heard of Igloo and had to learn it third hand after two previous employees left.

I got to produce some really rewarding items, A Noble Cause page that tracked our donations, A Reach program that was designed from the bottom up, Status recorders that would update with minimal effort or code, and tons of internal messaging and a newsletter.

Zia Records Store Signs

June 24, 2008 By Mooney Leave a Comment

Goal:

Kid Tested, Mother approved. SIGNS

Process:

“Hey, I need a sign, “from God?” I said. Nope, just a book sign for Thunderbird.” – Michael

That’s pretty much how it would go. I created some compositions of signs, once approved I would lay out the design on either large plotted paper or newsprint before cutting on foam core, lot’s of hot glue, nails, staples, tears, blood, and more glue. Some are still up today, some are a fond memory of simpler times. I used to be a lot more sticky back then.
